Botanical Set Design for L'Oréal x sisterMAG — Brand Commission Berlin
Hydrangeas, cosmos, ferns, grasses and seasonal foliage — a living botanical environment created for a L'Oréal editorial production
L’Oréal came to this project through sisterMAG Studio — and the brief was to create botanical environments that would complement and contextualise the product photography without overwhelming it. The set needed to feel alive, organic, and considered — a world of plants rather than a backdrop of decorations.
I built the sets using hydrangeas, cosmos, ferns, various grasses, and seasonal foliage as the primary structure — choosing plant material specifically for its visual texture, its movement, and the way it photographs under editorial lighting. Fresh cut flowers were added selectively to each set, bringing moments of color and bloom into compositions that were otherwise built from the quieter, more architectural language of foliage and grass.
The result was a series of environments where the botanicals and the product existed in genuine dialogue — neither competing, both belonging.
