Late Summer Wedding at Patrick Hellmann Schlosshotel — Floral Design Berlin

Café au lait dahlias, garden roses and hydrangea in a palette chosen to complement the hotel's historic ballroom

Patrick Hellmann Schlosshotel is one of Berlin’s most extraordinary settings for a wedding — a historic villa turned designer hotel, where every room carries the weight of carefully considered beauty. R & F chose it for exactly that reason, and the flowers needed to honor the space.

The palette was decided by the couple themselves and it was perfectly considered — the warm, antique tones of café au lait and pom-pom dahlias, garden roses, and hydrangea moving in complete harmony with the historical artwork of the ballroom. Wild sweet peas added a softer, more romantic note that prevented the arrangements from feeling too formal.

Late summer is one of the finest moments to work with dahlias — they are at their fullest and most extraordinary in August and September, and in this setting they felt like they had always belonged there.
