Out in the Forest — A Lush Floral Installation Among Broken Trees
A forest floral installation created with Ischta using hanging amaranthus and pampas grass, featured in Cook Life Magazine
Some of the best settings aren’t built — they’re found. For this collaboration with Ischta, a stand of broken, fallen trees deep in the forest became the stage: their twisted, bare branches doing more for the scene than anything we could have constructed from scratch.
Into that landscape I wove a lush, full installation of red hanging amaranthus threaded through with pampas grass, letting the deep red cascade down from the branches against the soft, feathery plumes and the bare wood. Below it, a small table was laid with linen, lit taper candles, and a spread of seasonal fruit — pears, pomegranates, grapes — set against the wild backdrop above.
The piece was featured in Cook Life Magazine.
