The soft salmon saucer peony is one of those varieties that stops you completely. Not because it is dramatic or bold — but because it is so perfectly itself. Blush pink petals, loosely cupped, catching light from one side while the rest falls into shadow. Fragrant, fleeting, and only available for a few weeks between May and June.
This bouquet was photographed against pure black to let the colour do everything — no background competing, no distraction, just the particular quality of blush against darkness that makes this variety so quietly extraordinary.
